Police: Exercise caution at ATMs

The Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) has issued a word of caution to the public when using Automated Telling Machines (ATMs).

The force is asking members of the public to be vigilant before they enter and leave ATMs.

"Not only should they consider their physical safety when approaching, attending or leaving ATMs but we caution you to pay special attention to the transactions which you are preforming and to be observant of the receipts and account balances."

The Force has advised the public that if any unusual activity has been noticed or suspected during ATM use recently, to contact the banking institution.

In addition if unusual activity is suspected on the account, report it to the banking institution.
