Residents, operators and visitors to the Ruby Junction complained about the poor lighting and one pointed out the hit-and-run driver's speed.

The body has been identified as that of Frederick Jules of Sandford in St Philip.

Police are continuing investigations

[11:00 am, Saturday, December 22, 2018]

Just before 2:00 am, this morning, Saturday, December 22, 2018, police responded to a call about an accident at the Ruby Four Cross Roads by Hilda Skeene Primary School in St. Philip.

It was a road fatality.

The body of the unidentified elderly man was discovered lying on the pedestrian crossing sometime around midnight.

The bicycle was mangled in the road some yards away from the crossing further East. His hat and shoe were strewn across the street as well.
