Police investigating River Bay incident that ended in death
Update (9.10am, November 29, 2019):
Police Public Relations Officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss said that the details are still "sketchy" at this time and they are awaiting an autopsy report.
However, he told Loop News that it's believed the injury sustained was a gun shot wound. Therefore the unnatural death is looking like the result of a shooting incident.
The number of unnatural deaths recorded in Barbados has increased yet again, following the death of a 39-year-old River Bay, St Lucy resident.
The deceased has been identified as Ken MacDonald Yearwood.
On Thursday November 28 around 12.55 pm, police responded to a report at River Bay. Yearwood was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance with an injury to his head.
He was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
A public appeal has been made for anyone with information relating to this matter to please contact the Crab Hill Police Station at 310-7700/7701/7704, Police Emergency at 211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS) or any Police Station.
