Police investigating unnatural death at Orange Hill, St James

Police are investigating the unnatural death of 56-year-old Ronald Skeete, also known as Smokey, of Whopping, in Orange Hill, St James during an altercation. 

In a media release, police said that the District D station responded to an altercation between a man and a woman which occurred last night around 11.55 pm at a residence located at Whopping, Orange Hill, St James.

Police responded and met ambulance personnel who were already at the scene treating the female who sustained injuries to her head and right arm. She was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH)) for medical attention.  

Lawmen discovered Skeeteā€™s body naked and slouched against the fencing of his residence with visible injuries about his upper body. The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor. 

A young female is assisting lawmen with investigations. The woman assisting with the probe is not the same woman who was injured.

Police have issued a public appeal for anyone who would have witnessed or otherwise have any knowledge of what would have transpired prior or during this incident to please contact Holetown Police Station at 4171700; Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800 8477 (TIPS) or any other police station.
