The Police Post in St. Lawrence Gap is expected to get a face lift thanks to the funding from tourism agencies.

The Tourism Development Corporation, the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association and the friends of St. Lawrence Gap Committee has partnered with Royal Barbados Police Force in providing assistance with the refurbishment of the Police Caravan.

Commissioner of Police, Tyrone Griffith said that he was pleased with the continued partnership with the tourism agencies which is a major foreign exchange earner for Barbados.  He said initiatives such as these continue to assist with safety, security and crime prevention in the tourism sector, noting that within the last five years there has been a consistent reduction of crime in the sector.

He thanked the BHTA, TDC and the friends of St. Lawrence Gap, for their effort and support in this venture.
