Police provide update on Dalkeith Road shooting

The Royal Barbados Police Force has provided an update on the shooting in Dalkeith Road, St Michael last night.

That incident left one family traumatised, as a father, wife and daughter are thanking God for life, after they had to duck in their vehicle as stray bullets dashed by.

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Force, Station Sergeant Michael Blackman (ag), providing the media with an update on this incident: 

"About 5:40 pm on Sunday, December 30th 2019, police responded to a shooting report at Dalkeith Road, St Michael. On arrival police learnt that some men appeared to be having a dispute along that said road, near the pedestrian crossing. 

"Men were throwing rocks at each other along that road when suddenly a male emerged from a passing vehicle and discharged a number of shots in the direction of some of the men. Two shots struck a motor vehicle ML 654, owned by the Crown - no one reported any injuries."

He added that "investigations are continuing"
