Private sector following government's 'business as usual' lead

Originally work within government offices and polyclinics across the island was to resume at 10:00 am, but the start time has been amended to 12:00 pm.

In the notice issued via the Barbados Government Information Service, government said that private sector players could resume their business operations at their discretion.

Subsequently, notices have been posted to social media indicating that some private-owned businesses are generally opening at midday, with few opening based on the initial notice of 10:00 am. Just before 10:00 am the Tropical Storm Warning for Barbados was discontinued.

However, few businesses have opted to close today, Friday, September 28, 2018.
