He said that the decision was taken in light of the new national shutdown time of 10am instead of 12pm as previously announced.
But he warned commuters, "Some services may terminate earlier."
Haynes said that the Alliance Owners of Public Transport and the Joint Select Committee of the PSV Association publicly apologises to all commuters, however, they must take the safety of the operators at heart as well and comply with the laws in accordance with the National Shutdown Policy of Barbados.
He also explained that this not only speaks to the ZRs, minibuses and BT buses, but it includes hired cars, taxis and maxi taxis as well.
