Hundreds rang in the New Year in fine style partying from Monday night into the wee hours of Tuesday morning at the popular all-inclusive event Elevate Suit and Tie.

'Kings Landing' Bellevue Plantation Polo field was transformed into a winter wonderland which perfectly fit with the theme this year- "Winterfell".

What was more "icy" about the event was the way persons came out dressed to impress in their suits, ties and elegant wear as they celebrated what 2018 gifted them and welcomed what 2019 has in store for them.

At 12:00 am on the dot there was an exciting fireworks display during Daddy Bubbles and Evolution's DJ set. This signalled not only the start of the New Year, but the start of the real-real party.

It was during DJs Andwele and Reko Chase set that the party took off to another level. DJ Andwele upped the tempo while mic-man Reko Chase hyped up the crowd, coming off stage and getting up close and personal with patrons.

By the time deejays Hutchy and Sizz hit the decks the jackets were taken off and the ladies had slipped into more comfortable shoes.

Speaking to Loop during the event patrons were contented with what the promoters offered.

One regular patron who described Elevate as the "most prestigious New Year's Eve party in the island" commended promoters for the overall organization of the event.

"I usually come Elevate every year and I'm never disappointed. The whole idea of New Year's Eve is to ring in the New Year in fashion and what better way to do that than party at the most prestigious New Year's Eve party in the island.

"You don't have to worry about anything here. Everything is organized. The parking was simple and easy. There are no long lines at the bar; you can just grab a drink and go - no fights, no bad vibes, just good energy radiating throughout. I'll be back again next year, or should I say this year?!"

One first-timer who admitted she was a little uncertain about going at first, has fallen in love with Elevate.

"I'm having a blast!

"This is my first Elevate. I usually go party hopping or go watch fireworks somewhere but one of my girlfriends convinced me let's go Elevate this year. I was a little apprehensive at first but I'm glad I made the decision. I love the way how people came out dressed up and still to have a good time. It's a yes from me!"
