UPDATE: Schoolboy reports he was stabbed after being attacked on van

Acting Police Public Relations Officer, Sargeant Michael Blackman said that the stabbing victim is 16-year-old Stefan Hoyte of Black Rock, St. Michael.

At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in stable condition, Blackman stated that the schoolboy reported that "he was beaten by eight to 10 boys. He was pursued and dragged from a minibus and received a laceration to his abdomen.

 

Schoolboy stabbed in Bridgetown

Police rushed to a bloody scene on Tudor Street in Bridgetown, St. Michael earlier this evening.

Today, around 4:45 pm, Tuesday, October 9, 2018, a schoolboy was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance for medical aid.

The Acting Police Public Relations Officer, Sargeant Michael Blackman was unable to state whether the schoolboy was from the junior or senior school.

This incident is the third act of violence in Barbados' Capital City in less than one week. The other two incidents were shooting incidents and the first shooting left two men nursing gunshot wounds while the second incident left one man injured. All three were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulances on the respective days.
