Search warrant leads to guns, ammo discovery and accused controller

Two St Michael men are set to appear in the District 'A' Magistrate's Court on a slew of firearm and gun-related charges.
Residing in the Bridgetown area at Church Gap, Kings Street in St Michael, arrested and charged to date are 32-year-old Ramon St Hill and Rodney Greaves, a 35-year-old.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, personnel from the Antigun and Gangs Unit assisted by the Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of St Hill in Church Gap on Thursday, April 30, 2020. During the search two 9 mm firearms and one .45 calibre pistol were found along with 79 rounds of ammunition made up of a combination of both 9 mm and .45 rounds.
Further investigations revealed that Greaves of the said address but resides at a different house may also be linked to the control and possession of these firearms and ammunition. The ammunition was discovered in high capacity magazines.
This bust came as a result of ongoing investigations.
The duo was jointly charged for three counts of possession of a firearm without a licence to do so. Also, they are jointly charged for one count of possession of ammunition without a permit to do so.
The accused men are expected to appear in the District 'A' Magistrate's Court tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12.
