UPDATE: Two wounded in City shooting along Swan Street

Two men were injured in the Swan Street shooting incident yesterday evening.

Police said that injured were 20-year-old Keslon Petty of School Gap, Westbury Road, St. Michael and Dave Edwards of Deanes Town, St. James. Petty sustained injuries to his right butt cheek and Edwards sustained injuries to his left shoulder below the neck.

Both injured parties were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for medical attention. The incident occurred just before 5:00 pm.

 

Shooting brings Swan Street to a standstill

A busy Friday in The City became a near-death experience for shoppers after a shooting occurred on Swan Street.  

Loop News understands a young man was shot in the shoulder around 5pm today. 

The shooting occurred close to the top of Swan Street which connects to High Street and saw shoppers scampering for their lives. 

Police and emergency personnel arrived on the scene shortly after and cordoned off the area while assistance was offered to the victim lying on the cobbled stones.   

One witness told Loop News multiple gunshots were fired at the victim.
