Showers expected as tropical wave approaches on July 8

According to the Barbados Meteorological Services, a tropical wave is approaching the island.
This morning is expected to be fair to partly cloudy and breezy at first becoming occasionally cloudy and breezy with a few scattered showers by afternoon. While tonight is forecasted to be partly cloudy to cloudy and windy with some scattered showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms.
Winds during the day will be from the generally from the E at 20 to 30 km/h and in the night will increase to 30 to 45 km/h with higher gusts.

Throughout yesterday, the temperature reached a high of 30.9⁰C during the morning and dropped to a minimum temperature of 25.3⁰C during the night.
Seabathers and seacraft operators can expect slight to moderate in open water with swells from 1.0m to 2.0m.
