The Barbados Water Authority has advised that on Friday, October 20 between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm its Belle Pumping Station in St. Michael will be shut down to facilitate further electrical upgrades.
As a result, low water pressure and outages may impact residents and commercial customers in parts of St. Michael and Christ Church.
In St. Michael: The City of Bridgetown, Belleville, Carrington Village, Belmont Road, Halls Road, Martindale’s Road, Constitution Road, Roebuck Street, Bay Land, Clapham, Tichbourne, Chapel Gap, The Pine, Wildey, Waterford, Bush Hall, Spooner’s Hill, White Hall, Grazettes, Cave Hill, Codrington, Brittons Hill and the surrounding areas.
In Christ Church: the South Coast from Hastings to Oistins, Welches, St. Matthias, Marine Gardens, Rendezvous Gardens, Fort George Heights, Sargeant’s Village, Sheraton, Vauxhall and surrounding districts.
Customers are asked to store an adequate supply of water for the duration of the shutdown. Water tankers will also be dispatched to assist.
