Emergency shutdowns lead to water outages

Some Barbadians will not be having an easy Sunday.

This as water tankers have been dispatched to persons in Christ Church and St Joseph, after emergency shutdowns. 

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) took to social media to highlight the challenges they are facing:

"The Barbados Water Authority wishes to inform residents in Frere Pilgrim South, Christ Church, that there has been an emergency shutdown in that area to facilitate repair work to a burst main.

"Water tankers have been dispatched to assist customers in Frere Pilgrim South and neighbouring districts, until the repair work has been completed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to our valued customers."

They also spoke to challenges in St Joseph:

"The Barbados Water Authority wishes to inform residents in Dark Hole Road, St Joseph, that there has been an emergency shutdown to facilitate repair work to a burst main in that area.

"Water tankers have been dispatched to assist customers in Dark Hole Road and neighbouring districts, until the repair work has been completed. 
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to our valued customers."
