Snack lady dropped dead at school

It was a sad day today at Christ Church Foundation Secondary School.

The start of the new school term was marred by tragedy.

According to the Royal Barbados Police Force,  around 6:50 am, today, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, Ermeline Powlett was on the compound of the Foundation School, Church Hill, Christ Church where she was setting up her tray to ply her trade of selling snacks. She complained of feeling unwell, collapsed, and later died at the scene.

The Police are carrying out investigations surrounding the sudden death of Powlett, who is 74 years old and late of Church Hill, Christ Church.
