St Lucy young man shot while sleeping at home, dies en route to care

Antuan Connell, 20, was pronounced dead on arrival at Sandy Crest Medical around midnight.
Shot twice at his St Lucy home, he was rushed by private car to receive medical care but it was too late to save his life.
Police in the Northern Division are carrying out investigations into the circumstances which resulted in the shooting death of Connell of Checker Hall, St Lucy. Reportedly, the shooting occurred about 11.50 pm on Friday, March 13.
According to the police, the victim was at home in his living room when a number of explosions were heard. The victim was struck in the upper and lower abdomen. He was transported by private transportation to Sandy Crest where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
