Stabbed multiple times, dad dies, son wounds another moments later
Police personnel in the Northern Division are conducting investigations into the unnatural death of a 58-year-old man.
He is Cleophas Maynard of Orange Hill, St. James. He was stabbed "multiple times".
According to Police Public Relations Officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, the incident occurred about 1:08 am today, Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at his home in Orange Hill, St. James.
The police report stated that police received a report via telephone, that there was an active dispute at Orange Hill, St. James between two males who live at the above-mentioned address. Police responded to the residence and on arrival discovered the motionless body of a 58-year-old male.
A medical doctor was summoned to the scene and pronounced death.
In addition, moments later, it was discovered that the suspect in this fatal stabbing left the residence and travelled a walking distance away to Deans Town, St. James, where he had an altercation with another man on whom he inflicted a number of stab wounds. That man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) where he is said to be in stable condition.
A male suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations into these matters.
