UPDATE: Stabbing in Bridgetown after altercation

[UPDATE: 5:54 pm, Wednesday, February 20, 2019]

Police responded to a report of a stabbing incident which occurred sometime after 2:00 pm, today, Wednesday, February 20, 2019, whilst along Swan Street in the City. 

The police report stated that "There was an altercation between two males, who are known to each other, as a result of a dispute. This resulted in Kadeem Caddle of Proute, St. Thomas receiving injuries about his body."

The wounded 27-year-old was transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle to seek medical attention.

Police investigations are continuing.


Stabbing in Bridgetown

Police have confirmed that a stabbing incident has occurred in the nation's Capital - Bridgetown.

Acting Public Relations Officer for the Royal Barbados Police Force, Inspector Rodney Inniss confirmed to Loop News that the stabbing occurred sometime this evening, however there are no further details at this time.

He said police investigations are ongoing.

On social media, persons are sharing a photo a male victim lying on the pavement in the vicinity of Lower Broad Street, along Prince Alfred Street.

Inniss said that at this time police do not have a name for the victim.
