Stabbing at Bridgetown pharmacy leaves employee wounded

Police have in custody a man accused of stabbing and wounding an A P Jones & Co Limited worker at his job site.
The condition of the male stabbing victim is still unknown hours later, according to police.
Public Relations Officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss told the media that about 12 noon on Thursday (September 17) police responded to an incident at A P Jones & Co Limited located at High Street in The City in St Michael.
Inniss reported that a man was seen placing items in a bag and was approached by a female security guard who was on duty at the pharmacy. The man reportedly drew a knife and became hostile. Another male employee who was present at the store confronted him and a struggle ensued resulting in the employee being injured about his body.
He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private car. His condition is still unknown at this stage.
The suspect is assisting police with investigations.
