Startled! Cocaine rocks land bicyclist in court
What started as just another bicycle ride ended with the discovery of four cocaine rocks and a suspended sentence.
The eight-month suspended sentence was handed down to Harold McDonald Payne yesterday when he appeared before a Bridgetown Court.
Payne, who lives in Ashdean Village, St Michael, was riding his bicycle along Black Rock, St Michael when police on patrol spotted him.
The fact that Payne was carrying two pieces of lumber on his shoulder caught the officers attention, meanwhile sighting the officers startled Payne - and he dropped the lumber.
The $40 worth of cocaine rocks were found in a cigarette box on Payne and he was arrested and charged.
