Sunglasses land man back in HMP Dodds

Andrew Sylvester Moore recently left prison on December 10 last year after serving a prison sentence; yesterday, Friday, February 1, 2019, he returned to the same St Phillip institution on remand.

Moore, 44, of no fixed abode pleaded not guilty to the charge that he stole a pair of $20-sunglasses belonging to Anderson Wood. However, the prosecution's objections and Moore's conviction card led the Acting Magistrate Anika Jackson to her decision to remand Moore for the next 28 days.

Prosecutor Police Constable Kenmore Phillips drew the court's attention to Moore's antecedents, evident in a conviction card dating back to 1992.

The officer of the court also spoke to the fact that Moore left prison just over a month ago and was again back before the court on a theft allegation.

He returns to court on February 27.
