Tactical team seize two guns at illegal party venue; no arrests

No one has been arrested in relation to two firearms now in the possession of the Royal Barbados Police Force.

According to police the discovery was made about 12.10 am on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Greenfield, St Michael, when members of the Tactical Response Unit (TRU) patrolled the area and encountered what appeared to be an illegal party.

About 150 people were in attendance and they ran off when the Unit arrived.

A search was made of the area and one .40mm Glock 22 with an extended magazine carrying 21 rounds and one .40mm Glock 23 with a magazine of 14 rounds were found.

Additionally, 100 grams of vegetable matter suspected to be cannabis was found. No one was arrested.

The Royal Barbados Police Force continues to conduct investigations into this discovery and subsequent seizure.
