Tamarind by Elegant Hotels transitions to all-inclusive resort
Elegant Hotels Group has announced the conversion of Tamarind Hotel in Barbados to a premium all-inclusive resort - becoming their fourth such property on the island and one of eight overall in their portfolio of luxury Caribbean hotels.
The new designation goes into effect on October 1, 2019, and will offer unlimited all-day dining options at its Sugar Cane Room and 246 Bar & Restaurant for guests, who can also enjoy a curated dinner menu at the award-winning Daphne’s restaurant located next door, where chef Kirk Ruck artfully tailors Italian dishes incorporating the freshest local catch and ingredients to create an unforgettable oceanfront experience.
Tamarind features 101 contemporary guest rooms and suites and during this transformation, the vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired retreat will also bolster its kids’ programming and entertainment, while extending the hours of its popular Flying Fish Kids Club for children ages 3-12. Kids can enjoy outdoor movie nights, baking classes and beach sport challenges. Teenagers can play games with new friends at the Tamarind Teens Den and engage in watersport activities such as waterskiing, kayaking, snorkeling, and stand-up paddle boarding at the Aqua School.
“We are delighted about our much beloved Tamarind hotel’s conversion to an all-inclusive resort. We see enormous potential for Tamarind under the popular all-inclusive model,” said Sunil Chatrani, CEO of Elegant Hotels Group. “We are excited about the prospect of the resort complementing our existing portfolio and attracting discerning families seeking an active all-inclusive adventure holiday.”
Guests at Tamarind will also continue to enjoy Elegant Hotels’ signature inclusions such as motorized and non-motorized water sports, themed dining, complimentary Wi-Fi, and beach and pool ambassador service. Tamarind also features an adults-only pool for couples looking for privacy, a state-of-the-art-fitness center and a boutique spa.
