As a result of the mass meeting, the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training advises that all public schools will close at midday tomorrow.

The meeting comes on the heels of a fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old Frederick Smith School student by a class mate which occurred on Friday, November 8. It was reported the two students were involved in an altercation on the school compound just before the incident unfolded.

The school was closed as a result of the stabbing.

The BSTU and the BUT urges all teachers to make a special effort to attend tomorrow's meeting.
