Teddy at category 2 but currently posing no threat to Barbados

Weather officials are still watching the activity in the Atlantic closely, as Hurricane Teddy has now developed to Category 2 status.
 

And Barbados' Meteorological officials are already saying that the hurricane is expected to become a Category 4 storm later this week. 
 

At present, Teddy is located 15.8N 49.0W at about 820 MI...1315 KM E of the Lesser Antilles with maximum sustained winds of 100 MPH to 155 KM/H. 
 

Officials at the US National Hurricane Centre have said that environmental conditions appear favorable for additional strengthening over the next 18-24 hours.
 

So far officials in Barbados have not made any predictions of Hurricane Teddy directly affecting the island however a small craft advisory is in effect at present for above normal sea swells.
