Teen arrested after shooting death on Friday

The Royal Barbados Police Force made a breakthrough as they continue investigations into one of the recent shooting deaths in Barbados.

They have arrested and formally charged Isaiah Abraham Cody Wiggins, 17 years, of Scarborough Christ Church, for the offence of Serious Bodily Harm.

This is in connection with the shooting death of Kesmar Shaquille Codrington, 23 years, of Browne's Ave, Bayville, St. Michael, which occurred on Friday, February 16th, at Bay Street, St. Michael.

Around 5:15 pm on that date, police received a report of a man being shot at Bay Street, St. Michael. On responding to the report, the officers were informed that the injured man, who was later identified as being Codrington, was transported to the QEH, by private motor car for medical attention, where he later succumbed to his injury. 

Wiggins is expected to appear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court today.
