UPDATE: Teen missing at sea off the coast of St Joseph, washes ashore
The body of Amalee Mayers was discovered today.
The 16-year-old of Beach Mount in Bathsheba, St Joseph was reported missing at sea around 12.45 pm on Friday, May 1, 2020.
Mayer's body was discovered today, Monday, May 4, about 6 am by a resident from the area.
His body was seen washed up on the beach near Tent Bay where he had set off to sea prior to going missing.
Police investigations are continuing.

A 16-year-old boy has gone missing at sea.
The missing individual has been Identified as Amalee Mayers of Beach Mount, Bathsheba, St Joseph. He is a fifth form student of the Alleyne Secondary School.
Reports from the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) indicate officers at the District F station received a call on May 1, 2020 around 12.45 pm, stating that a young man had gone missing.
The information stated that Mayers has been free diving with three other persons off the coast of Tent Bay in Bathsheba, St. Joseph which is near Atlantis Hotel.
Police responded and are presently at the scene. Communication has been made to the Police Marine Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard.
They are conducting searches at sea in the general area.
