It was in the wee hours of this morning that a two-vehicle crash at the junction at the Deighton Griffith School left three persons injured, and both vehicles extensively damaged.
Acting public relations officer with the Royal Barbados Police Force, Sergeant Michael Blackman provided further details on the accident:
"Just before 4:00 am this morning, Monday, September 24, police were at the scene of a serious accident on the ABC highway at its junction with Deighton Griffith School, which occurred about 1:50 am. Involved are two motorcars which collided with each other resulting in extensive damage to both vehicles."
He added that while one of the persons involved was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance, two others sought private medical care:
"One vehicle has overturned. The male driver of the overturned vehicle has gone off to QEH via ambulance for injuries, while the driver and female companion in the other car complained of head and foot injuries - they are seeking private medical attention."
