Tropical Storm Dorian: Time for National Shutdown adjusted

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has announced that the National Shutdown will now be 10am and only persons in the essential services are to report to work.

On Sunday during the national address at Government Headquarters the PM indicated the national shutdown would have been declared at noon today, August 26, however Tropical Storm Dorian has strengthened a little while progressing towards the island. 

Barbados remains under tropical storm warning. A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions are imminent within the warning area, generally within 36 hours.
