Trinidad teen denied bail after allegedly shooting relative

A 17-year-old boy has been denied bail after appearing in court on charges of firearm possession and wounding with intent.

The teenager cannot be named because he is legally a minor.

He was charged by the Tunapuna Magistrates’ Court in Trinidad and Tobago recently.

The teenager was detained on August 1, following an investigation of a shooting incident which occurred on June 16.

The victim of that report was shot multiple times about the body and was hospitalised for several weeks.

He survived the incident and has since been released from the hospital, following intensive treatment.
