Twisted wishes Bim Happy Birthday in style

Caribbean integration.

That is Twisted Entertainment gift to Barbados as the country looks forward to its 52nd birthday next week.

Last Saturday evening at the Bellevue Plantation, the renowned entertainment group presented its biggest production: BIM Tipsy.

Public Relations Officer for Twisted Entertainment Tracy Highland said she was pleased by the large numbers which they had anticipated during their planning, hence the choice of returning to the spacious and natural environs of the Bellevue facility.

Following successful events in the summer; TIPSY and REWHINE, Twisted Entertainment maintained their high quality standards by producing a national show with a regional twist.

“We tried to bring people from outside because we wanted it to be a Caribbean-wide celebration.

Each year we try to do something different and the group itself is made up of many different nationalities and they all celebrate Barbadian culture and we just wanted it to be a big celebration”, said Highland.

The regional twist came in the form of Jamaican Dancehall artiste Ding Dong who sang a number of his popular hits of yesteryear such as 'Nuh Linga' and  'Badman Forward', along with his most recent songs such as 'Lebeh Lebeh', 'Flair is in the Air' and 'Shoulder Fling'.

Surgical, clinical, precise and passionate in his delivery was Dr. Machel Montano who gave a stellar performance in every sense of the word.

The adopted son of Barbados sang, deejayed and danced to a number of his songs and Caribbean artistes; ranging from soca to dancehall, reggae and Latino.

In the midst of fireworks and loud cheers, King of Bajan entertainment Lil Rick brought the show to a fitting end with a number of his tunes from a successful 2018 season and some from his early dub chanting days to the roaring approval of the massive audience.

Highland said, following an action-packed 2018 calendar, Twisted Entertainment will evaluate themselves as they strive to continue fulfilling the needs of their patrons who she deemed invaluable.

The final event on Twisted Entertainment’s 2018 calendar is their fifth annual children Christmas party slated to be held on December 8th at a venue to be announced shortly.

“It [the party] is our way of giving back at the end of the year, as per the mission of the group”, said Highland.
