Two men were injured in an accident in Maxwell, Christ Church, with the aftermath of that collision circulating in a frightening social media video.

Public relations officer with the Royal Barbados Police Force, Inspector Roland Cobbler, confirmed the crash to Loop News and explained that the "accident is not as serious as it looks on social media":

"It occurred around 11:20 on Maxwell Hill Road, involving a motor van and a motor car.

"The motor van was driven by an Anthony Evelyn, 80 years, from Enterprise, Christ Church and the car was driven by an Andre Warren, 30 years, of Maxwell, Hill Christ Church."

He added that both men were treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital:

"Evelyn complained for pain in his lower back and Warren complained for pain in his left side, both hands and he had a cut to his left eye. Both of them were transferred to the QEH for medical treatment."
