Two injured in armed robbery

Two persons were injured during an armed robbery in St Michael today.

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Royal Barbados Police Force, Sergeant Michael Blackman, confirmed the incident which occurred around 12:08 pm: 

"Police are carrying out investigations into an armed robbery at Richmond Road St. Michael. 

"Reports are that a lone gunman armed with robbed two women of a handbag, money, phones and jewellery of an unestimated value."

He urged members of the public to provide any information they can to help with this investigation:

"Anyone who has any information that can assist in the investigation is asked to contact Black Rock Police Station at 4177505/7500, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS, Police Emergency at 211 or the nearest Police Station."
