Two men hoping to avoid Dodds for the new year

A Barbadian and a non-national will be hoping not to start 2019 in prison at Her Majesty Prison - Dodds, now that they are facing drug-related charges.

Police said that Dacosta Brathwaite and George Williams will both be heading to court today to answer to the charges of "Acts Preparatory and Conspiracy to Traffic cannabis".

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Royal Barbados Police Force, Sergeant Michael Blackman,  provided further details:

"George Williams, 50 years, a Jamaican national, staying at 'Arjan' Apartment #2 1st Avenue, Accommodation Road, Bush Hall, St Michael and Dacosta Brathwaite, 53 years, of # 2 Chelston Gardens, Culloden Road, St Michael, were arrested and charged for the above offences [Acts Preparatory and Conspiracy to Traffic cannabis] which occurred on December 20th, 2018. 

"They are both expected to appear in the District A Magistrate court today to answer the charges."
