Two separate accidents result in injury, damage

It has already been a very busy new year for emergency personnel across Barbados.

This at the Royal Barbados Police Force is reporting two separate accidents which occurred early today.

Acting Public Relations Officer with the Force, Station Sergeant Michael Blackman (ag), provided the following information on the first accident at Varley Hill Road, St Peter:

"Accident with injuries occurred about 4:50 am along Varley Hill Road, St Peter near the horse stables. The motor car registration number L 2468 received extensive damage and the driver Gordon John, 31 years of Allendale, St Lucy complained of back injuries."

He noted that the second accident occurred "about 5:33 am":

"Police responded to a report of a serious accident on Welch Village near Bath Land, St John."

"On arrival police found a motor car registration number 'P 7555' in a ditch with no one around."
