Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss said officers received a call around 6.15 am from an anonymous female, that she had just come across the lifeless body of an elderly male while passing through the Westbury Cemetery.

He noted personnel from the Emergency Ambulance Service were summoned, but on arrival, they left the scene after confirming there were no signs of life.

Earlier reports had said Cadogan's body bore stab wounds, however, Inniss told LOOP News, while there were “noticeable physical injuries on the body, they would be awaiting the results of a post mortem which would have to be conducted”.

Lawmen have since appealed for any information about the circumstances of Cadogan’s death, and have urged the public to contact the police emergency number, 211, Central Police station at 430-7676, the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-TIPS (8477) or any Police Station.

The Inspector noted that all information taken will be in strict confidence.
