UPDATE: Masked men shoot teen in his home

Police are conducting investigations into the shooting incident at Bartlett Tenantry, Christ Church around 2:40 p.m. today, February 2, 2017.

Preliminary investigations are suggesting that the young man was at home when two masked armed men entered the premises and shot him multiple times.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance and his condition is listed as serious but stable.

Police have released a press statement naming the victim.

During this shooting incident Michael Omar Edwards 18 years of Bartlett Tenantry, Sargeant Village, Christ Church, received multiple gunshot injuries to his upper body.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance where he is receiving medical attention. His condition is still listed as serious but stable.

Edwards was at home when the two masked armed men entered and shot him multiple times before running away from the area.

Edwards has succumbed to his injuries and police are appealing for information as their investigations continue.
