UPDATE: Police identify body floating in Careenage

Police have made a public appeal for help identifying the body of an elderly man who was pulled from the Careenage Friday morning.

Lawmen said they responded to a report that a body was seen floating around 8 am, and on arrival, discovered the body of 79-year-old Dudley Whitfield Bryan.

His address is not known at this time.

With assistance from the Barbados Coast Guard, the body was recovered and brought to shore in the area of the ScrewDock at Cavans Lane, St. Michael.

Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
