Upper-income tax band unchanged for an extended period

The upper-income tax band start date has changed.

Employers are being asked to note that the Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment has changed the effective date of the new upper-income tax band from July 1, 2018. An additional month has been granted. The new date is now August 1, 2018.

The introduction of a new upper-income tax band of 40 per cent on those whose assessable incomes are greater than $75,001 which the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment, Mia Amor Mottley announced as part of the Budgetary Proposal on June 11, 2018.
