Victim dies after Brighton shooting

Police are appealing for witnesses to shed light on a fatal shooting incident which occurred at Brighton, St. George on Wednesday.

Members of the Royal Barbados Police Force are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of 30-year-old Marvin Marcus Victor. His last known address was Airy Hill, St. George. Victor received multiple gunshot injuries about his body on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, whilst at Brighton.

According to the police press release, on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, sometime after 4:00 pm, police received information from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), in relation to Victor being brought to the hospital by private vehicle with multiple gunshot injuries to the body. He was admitted to the hospital, but subsequently succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Investigations into this matter are being continued. Anyone who can provide any information that can assist with this investigation is being asked to contact the Oistins Police Station, at 4182612, or 4182608, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800 –TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
