The Salvation Army has officially launched its Christmas Kettle Appeal and the charitable organization is urging Barbadians to give generously as they aim to meet the target of $700,000.

Parks said the Bank is now in its seven year of partnership with the Salvation Army and will continue to give generously to those who are being affected by poverty.

Cave Shepherd Card Services is also on board with the Salvation Army's fund raising efforts. The company has added a new feature in their mobile app which allows card holders to made donations for both the Army's feeding programs and the Kettle Appeal.

Entertainment at the launch was provided by the choirs of the Springer Memorial School, the St Leonard's Boys School and the Royal Barbados Police Force band.
