Wanted man held with firearm, ammunition

A man who was the subject of a wanted person bulletin has been apprehended by police and slapped with a number of firearm-related offences. 

Personnel from the Antigun & Gangs Unit have charged Jakobi Talik Germain with possession of a firearm without a valid licence and possession of 13 rounds of ammunition without a permit. 

The 22-year-old resident of 8th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael was held while at an apartment located at Balmoral Gap, Hastings, Christ Church on Thursday, August 29. 

The offences occurred on July 28, 2019 whilst Germain was at Ashby Alley, Nelson Street, St Michael. At the time, he ran away to avoid arrest and a wanted man notice was subsequently issued.  

He is expected to appear on District 'A' Magistrates Court today, August 30, 2019.
