Dwayne Bravo may be out of commission when it comes to playing cricket but he is keeping busy with the preparation of his white party, DJ Bravo 47.

Now in its fifth year, 47 will this year be held at Club Zen in Port-of-Spain on October 13, just days after Bravo's 36th birthday on October 7.

Speaking at the media launch of the event on Tuesday, the Santa Cruz-born cricketer said the event will see personalities flying in from abroad.

Usually held during the CPL season, 47 also sees many cricketers in attendance and may no doubt turn into a celebration affair as the CPL finals will be held in T&T the night before.

The charitable event will see proceeds being donated through the Dwayne Bravo Foundation to the Couva Children's Home and Crisis Centre. In the past, children from the Margaret Kistow Children's Home in Arima and others have benefitted from substantial contributions as well as books, stationery and back to school items from the event. There have also been bursaries to students attending the National Centre for Persons with Disabilities as regional T20 and 40 Over championship trophies.

The event will be hosted by Bravo, Keiron Pollard, David Blanc of Altruism Solutions, and Adrian Chandler of Strictly FX Ltd.

Sponsors are Suntory, Guardian Group of Companies, Altruism Solutions, Bmobile, NLCB, Nestle Brands, Barefoot, Strictly FX, Angostura and Brydens, Coca-Cola.
