WATCH: OPEN! Pick a lane from the Hothersal Turning roundabout
Created : 23 October 2018
Entry from Clyde Walcott roundabout (Hothersal Turning).
Lane switchers are being warned that this practice cannot continue along the Belle stretch of the Barrow section of the ABC Highway for Southbound traffic. However, drivers can use both lanes by day.
Drivers coming from Hothersal Turning or the Clyde Walcott roundabout and heading towards Haggatt Hall, must commit to a lane from the time they exit the Clyde Walcott roundabout, until they exit at the Norman Niles roundabout.
There are fluorescent poles and cans running that entire length of the highway, preventing drivers from changing lanes as C.O.Williams continues to move the Earth to please commuters.
The work refacing the highway has commenced but is on hold during the day. The construction company issued a notice yesterday after drivers were up in arms over the horrendous traffic caused as a result of the single-lane diversion.
Photo: This lane will be closed to through-traffic nightly.
The road works will continue at night from 7:00 pm until 6:00 am. The West-bound lane will be closed and traffic will be single-lane in the East or South bound lane.
Drivers are asked to plan their routes accordingly.
