WATCH: Young Tahirah ready for CARIFESTA XIV stage

Barbados' youngest delegate participating in the 14th edition of the Caribbean Festival of Arts (CARIFESTA) is brimming with excitement to hit the big stage.

Tahirah Gibbons, at just 11-years-old, is part of the 55-member delegation attending the biennial festival from August 16 to 25 in Trinidad and Tobago. 


Gibbons is a student of the St. Michael's School and has been performing from age seven, making her stage debut in 2015 at the National Independence Festival of the Creative Arts (NIFCA) for which she received a Gold Award. 

Gibbons was also a contestant in the 2016 Richard Stoute Teen Talent Competition.

She will be performing as part of the theatrical production, 'What Good for the Goose' as well as the musical- 'Journey to the Last Canes' at the Country Night of CARIFESTA.
