Update: Woman dies in a tragic accident at Barbados Sea Port
Police update: 3pm, Saturday, January 25, 2020.
One elderly cruise passenger died dockside while in the Bridgetown Port.
Involved was a large 10-wheeler truck driven by 35-year-old Anthony Walcott of Oxnards, St James, and an 87-year-old female pedestrian.
The deceased was a visitor to the island and was a passenger onboard the cruise ship SAGA SAPPHIRE, which arrived this morning.
The pedestrian died on the spot. Police investigations are continuing.

Police have confirmed that a woman died tragically at the Bridgetown Sea Port this morning.
The accident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.
It occurred around 10.50 am, today, Saturday, January 25, 2020.
Police Public Relations Officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss told Loop News that the victim died at the scene.
The tragedy occurred in the area known as the 'Breakwater' inside the Sea Port.
