The Worthing Beach in Christ Church was temporarily closed.

Less than a year ago there was a problem with sewage entering the Worthing Beach and that led to its closure after much uproar. Then in late December the Minister of Tourism had declared the South Coast Beach "safe" and opened to seabathers.

Yesterday members of the public were asked to note that Worthing Beach would once again be closed to facilitate the opening of the sluice gate for routine maintenance.

The beach is to reopen this morning, Friday, September 29, 2017, at 10:00 am.
