Barbados Weather Report - A tropical wave approaching on September 20

Expect some showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms later today.  That’s the advice from Meteorologists with the Barbados Meteorological Service, located at Charnocks, Christ Church.

They say a trough system is affecting the island and as a result, it will be fair to partly cloudy becoming increasingly cloudy with a few scattered showers. 

Later in the afternoon, as a tropical wave approaches the island, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with some scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.

The wind today will be blowing from the East to East South East at between 15to 30km/h while the seas are expected to be moderate in open water, with swells from 1.5m to 2.0m.

The sun rose over Barbados this morning at 5:48 am and it will set around 5:56 pm.

The maximum temperature recorded yesterday morning was 30.9⁰C and it dropped to a low of 26.0⁰C overnight.
