The latest COVID-positive patient tested positive after undergoing a second test. He is a 32-year-old male visitor to the island. He arrived on American Airlines on November 13 and was asymptomatic. He is now in Isolation.
Two persons left isolation today also after recovering from the viral illness. Two persons were released from isolation yesterday (November 14) as well after recovering from COVID-19.
In the past 48 hours, a total of 662 tests were conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. Of those, 304 were conducted yesterday and 358 tests were done on November 13.
Barbados has now recorded 250 cases comprising 132 females and 118 males. Of these, 238 have recovered, seven passed away and five remain in isolation.
The laboratory has completed 42,022 tests for the year.
